CI018 - Computer Security Awareness
   
This seminar is designed to provide information workers at all levels with a basic understanding of the internet-connected computer as a work environment.  Attendees will gain an understanding of actions that should be taken to work safely and securely on a corporate or home network.  
   
Objectives:  
  • Understand how information travels over the internet and the resulting strengths and weaknesses.
  • Learn the areas in your computing environment that are subject to attack.
  • Identify the people or things that can attack your computing environment, and how they do so.
  • Understand how to employ best-practice strategies to protect your computing environment.
  • Learn the proper actions to take in the event of an attack.
  • Understand the role each individual plays in ensuring the safety and security of the local, national and global computing environment.
